Dynamic hybrid microscope: A Hybrid Non-linear, Optoacoustic and Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (OAM-CLSM) combining label-free optical resolution microscopy with traditional confocal fluorescence microscopy in a single instrument.

Frequency Domain Optoacoustic microscope: A low-cost frequency domain optoacoustic and laser scanning fluorescence microscope and interferometer for precision measurements of speed of sound and full image reconstruction.

LED based optoacoustic sensor: A portable, PCB, LED based optoacoustic sensor for measuring biological signals such as blood oxygenation.

Optosense: Optoacoustic imaging and sensing system for cultural heritage.

Wavelens: An optoelectronic device for precision light control based on wavefront shaping, for controlling the illumination in imaging systems.

The Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) is one of the largest research centres of Greece with well-organised facilities and highly qualified staff. The research and technological focus of the foundation is centred on selected areas of great scientific, social and economic interest. FORTH comprises of 10 Institutes and is an internationally known and highly competitive research centre, with a modern infrastructure and a broad range of research, development and educational activities. One of FORTH’s Institutes participates in Glass-Care: The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser has a long experience in biophotonics and biomedical imaging research, with pioneering contributions to laser technology, spectroscopy and spectral imaging, non-linear microscopy and in vivo pre-clinical and clinical optical imaging. Within IESL The Laboratory for Biophotonics and Molecular Imaging (LBMI), is dedicated to the design, development and application of key enabling photonic technologies for imaging in biological targets and living systems. LBMI has pioneered the development and application of photoacoustic technology into Cultural Heritage Science, with novel systems for visualisation of artifacts and monitoring of cleaning and ageing processes.
