DC07: Multimodal tomography for stress analysis in stained glass
Objectives
  • Apply optical coherence tomography, digital holographic microscopy and diffraction tomography to stained glass.

  • Quantify refractive index distributions and stress-induced birefringence as markers of structural vulnerability.

Expected results

  • A validated demonstrator set-up and protocol for stress mapping and microcrack detection. Non-invasive early warning tool for identifying high-risk regions in stained-glass.
