People involved in Glass-Care
UPC is a public institution of research and higher education with about 30.000 students. UPC has 140 research groups in engineering, architecture and science, and it is one of the leading technical universities in Europe according to international rankings (Shanghai, QS, Best Global). The UPC heads the list of Spanish universities in terms of funding raised and the number of projects under HE. The UPC has been granted 142 projects, from which 38 are coordinated (7 of them funded by the ERC), and with a total funding of 84.8 million Euros. UPC is a member of Unite, an alliance of technological universities of the European Universities Initiative. The Materials Characterisation Group within the Physics department is focused on the study of glass, glassy and disordered materials. This includes the research in historical glass, glazed ceramics and decorative layers, with special attention to its optical properties. The group has 30 years’ experience in the use of spectroscopic and microscopic micro-analytical techniques and with Synchrotron radiation facilities. |
