Key Research Facilities for Glass-Care
The glass fabrication facilities include high-temperature furnaces, one of which operates with a controlled atmosphere. Available equipment includes a Raman spectrometer, and there is also access to synchrotron sources through project-based calls.
People involved in Glass-Care
The Laboratoire Géomatériaux et Environnement at Université Gustave Eiffel performs interdisciplinary research on geomaterials, focusing on their properties, durability, and environmental interactions. Research areas include material characterisation, analysis of degradation processes, and development of sustainable building materials. The lab collaborates with industries to improve construction materials’ performance and sustainability, with particular attention to environmental impact. It also explores innovative techniques for the conservation of historical and cultural heritage structures. The students of Glass-Care will use our expertise and facilities for growing biofilms on model-glass samples.
