DC05: Photoacoustic-based tool for stained-glass research
Objectives
  • Adapt photoacoustic imaging to detect subsurface features such as metallic pigments (in case of staining), alteration layers and cleaning effects.
Expected results
  • First demonstration of photoacoustic analysis tailored to stained-glass conservation. Demonstrator and user protocol enabling conservators to monitor (sub)surface composition.
