Key Research Facilities for Glass-Care
At LISA, we have developed different atmospheric simulation chambers to expose materials to controlled atmospheres. We also have solid characterisation techniques with access to different platforms : 1 of microscopy equipped with 1 Tabletop SEM and 1 high resolution SEM (+ STEM detector) (https://www.u-pec.fr/fr/recherche/plateformes/plateforme-scuma-service-commun-universitaire-de-microscopie-analytique) and one platform dedicated to X-ray (https://plateformes.u-paris.fr/plateforme-rayons-x-prx-ditodys-et-du-lisa/). We are also able to analyse solutions (ICP-OES, ICP-MS). |
People involved in Glass-Care
University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) conducts fundamental, applied, and translational world-class research. It also conducts research in close collaboration with local industry players, paying particular attention to concerns about social, spatial, and environmental justice in order to respond to a number of major societal challenges. With 2600 professors, lecturers, researchers, engineers, and doctoral students, 32 laboratories, 1 observatory and some 30 technological platforms, UPEC is a leader in research and innovation that promotes a cross-disciplinary approach to societal challenges.
In Glass-Care, UPEC is represented by the LISA (Laboratoire Interuniversitaire des Systèmes Atmosphériques). The main research themes in LISA relate to the understanding of the functioning of terrestrial and planetary atmospheres and of the impacts related to the changes of the atmospheric composition due to human activities. The methods used are based on direct observations in the atmosphere, on experimental simulations performed in the laboratory and on various numerical modelling approaches
